Title: REPORT - RESOLUTION - RATIFICATION OF PROCLAMATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY BACKGROUND: On October 24, 2021, the Acting Director of Emergency Services issued a Proclamation of Existence of a Local Emergency relating to existence or threatened existence of conditions of disaster or extreme peril to the safety of persons and property within the City caused by significant rain and flash flooding due to an atmospheric river event impacting the region beginning on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Several homes and apartment buildings have, or likely will have, significant water damage. There is also the potential for debris flows, especially in fire scarred areas. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that Council by resolution, ratify the Proclamation of Existence of Local Emergency signed on October 24, 2021.
