REPORT - APPROVAL OF REVISED AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT AND ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARY
BACKGROUND: On July 26, 2016, the Council approved by resolution a cost of living increase effective July 10, 2016, for the executive management (Unit 10 - Executive Management).
On August 9, 2016, the Council adopted Resolution 28840 approving an Amendment No. 1 to Employment Agreement - City Manager. However, Amendment No. 1 did not provide for a 2.5% cost of living increase in the City Managers salary as intended by Council and a revised Amendment No. 1 is being brought forward including the 2.5% cost of living increase in the City Managers salary effective July 10, 2016.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council: (1) by resolution, approve a revised Amendment No. 1 to the City Managers Employment Agreement granting a two and one half percent (2.5%) cost of living adjustment and rescinding Resolution 28840; and (2) introduce an Ordinance Establishing
