On December 18, 2018, the Sonoma County Community Development Commission (CDC), as lead agency for the Sonoma County Continuum of Care (CoC), recently rebranded as Home Sonoma County, submitted an application to the State for Homeless Emergency Aid Program (hereinafter “S-HEAP”) funding in the amount of $12.1 million. This application included a set-aside for capital requests from local cities totaling $4.9 million, including a request from Santa Rosa in the amount of $3.6 million for the Samuel L. Jones Hall Homeless Shelter (SJH) and former Bennett Valley Senior Center (BVSC).
