The Subcommittee will review recently chaptered requirements that state-funded electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects utilize contractors that have achieved certification under the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP).
AB 841, adopted in September 2020, added Section 740.20 to the California Public Utilities Code, which requires all electric vehicle charging infrastructure that is funded in part by the Public Utilities Commission, the Energy Commission, and/or the State Air Resources Board, be installed by a contractor with the appropriate license classification, the EVITP certification. | | |
