Adopted by City Council in March 2019, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update 2018 (BPMPU 2018) established a vision and strategies toward making walking and bicycling in Santa Rosa comfortable, convenient, and common for people of all ages and abilities. The BPMPU 2018 includes infrastructure projects that are needed to improve and complete the City’s bicycle and pedestrian networks, as well as several education, encouragement, enforcement, and evaluation programs and policies. Implementation of the Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan was identified in the Community-wide Climate Action Plan as critical to reducing vehicle miles traveled and accompanying greenhouse gas emissions. Staff will provide an update on the BPMPU 2018 programs, policies and projects implemented in 2021. | | |
