1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS  
Meeting was called to order at 9:05am.  
2. PUBLIC COMMENT  
None.  
3. VIOLENCE PREVENTION PARTNERSHIP UPDATES  
Danielle Garduno, Program Manager, provided an update on the  
CHOICE Cycle 12 Selection process. The Partnership has also  
applied for two federal grants. The Violence Prevention Partnership  
Seminar is coming up on October 10, 2024 and a keynote speaker  
has been selected.  
4. SCHEDULED ITEMS  
4.1 CLIMATE UPDATE  
Santa Rosa Police Department and Criminal Justice:  
Santa Rosa Police reported in June there were 1,015 calls for  
service, 10 violent incidents and 22 collisions. In June, the Gang  
Crimes Team made 20 arrests for 9 cases related to weapons,  
robbery and assault.  
Public Defender had no update to provide.  
The Juvenile Hall Staff and Probation provided an update that  
there are 240 youth on supervision, community based mostly,  
and today there are 63 youth in Juvenile Hall, 20 are in secure  
youth treatment and 5 are out of county.  
The Sheriff was not present to provide an update.  
InResponse/Buckelew provided a brief update that they are  
staffing from 7:00am - 10:00pm and have partnered with the  
mobile support team with the county to be able to cover night  
shifts and provide service for 24 hours. Calls for service are  
trending from younger youth ages 4-12 years old and seniors  
65-90 years old.  
The Sonoma County Family Justice Center is observing an  
increase in severity of cases.  
Schools:  
Focusing on training and providing support of school safety  
programming. Hoping to bring back a parent education on social  
media. New Santa Rosa City Schools Superintendent introduced.

4.2 PRESENTATION: DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE VICTIM SERVICES  
PRESENTATION - VICTIM SUPPORTIVE SERVICES  
Presentation of services provided through the Family Justice  
Center and District Attorney's Office Victim Services. Partners  
engaged in discussion to clarify qualifications for services.  
4.3 PARTNER UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS  
Restorative Resources recently held a graduation for their youth  
group "Accountability Circle".  
Community Matters is working to collaborate with Santa Rosa  
Plaza Mall staff.  
PSAP Committee reminder that the Day and Night Festival is  
approaching on September 14, 2024.  
Family Justice Center has a fundraising event on August 11,  
2024.  
5. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS  
Public Comment:  
Suggestion of a future agenda item topic to be on the impacts of  
Prop 36 and Prop 47.
