INDEPENDENT POLICE AUDITOR’S RECOMMENDATION  
Chief of Police will provide a response to the Independent Police  
Auditor’s recommendations from the 2022 annual report and outline the  
steps the police department has taken to address the  
recommendations.

SAFER GRANT IMPLEMENTATION  
The Fire Department will provide a draft review of plans to date  
regarding the implementation of the SAFER grant funding. SAFER is  
providing three years of funding for twelve additional FTE  
firefighters/paramedics to staff two advance life support squads.

MEASURE H UPDATE  
The Departments will provide a brief overview of how Measure H funds  
have benefited the community and how they will be used in the future  
with the transition to Measure H/Public Safety Sales Tax.

VEGETATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM UPDATE  
The Fire Department will provide an overview of the status of the  
Vegetation Management Program and related projects. This update will  
include the status and framework of the Vegetation Management  
Ordinance that will be presented to the full City Council in November  
2023.

police department programs, projects and initiatives as they relate to  
the City Council Goals and Department operations.

major programs, projects, and initiatives related to City Council Goals  
and Department operations.
