meeting of July 26, 2023, is cancelled due to meeting noticing error.

Public Comment may be made live during the meeting via Zoom or  
submitted by 5:00 p.m., the Tuesday (7/25) before the CAB meeting via  
e-mail at communityengagement@srcity.org. Email public comments  
will be provided to all CAB members prior to the meeting.

2. PUBLIC COMMENTS  
This is the time when any person may address matters not listed on this  
agenda, but which are within the subject matter of the jurisdiction. The public  
may comment on agenda items when the item is called. Public Comment may  
be made live during the meeting via Zoom. Each speaker is allowed three  
minutes. Public comments may also be submitted by 5:00 pm, the Tuesday  
before the CAB meeting via e-mail at communityengagement@srcity.org or  
via recorded voice message at 707-543-3080. Recorded voice message  
comments will be played (up to 3 minutes each) at the time that Agenda Item  
is discussed during the CAB meeting. Email public comments will be provided  
to all CAB members prior to the meeting.  
3. CAB ANNOUNCEMENTS & ISSUES OF CONCERN TO CITY RESIDENTS  
CAB Members may share community news, upcoming community events that  
may be of interest to the CAB and issues of concern for residents. This is also  
the time when CAB Members may announce departure from the meeting  
early, or any other announcement that may affect the meeting.  
4. STAFF UPDATES  
This time is reserved for City staff to provide a briefing on issues of  
interest. No action will be taken on these matters except to possibly place  
a particular item on a future agenda for consideration.  
5. SCHEDULED ITEMS  
5.1 CivicReady Test Message on May 31  
The City of Santa Rosa sent out a test message for the Civic Ready  
function that City offers to residents. During the test, subscribers received  
a text message (if you included your cell phone number) and email (if you  
included your email address). This test was used to help the City evaluate  
the system's efficiency and allowed users to make any necessary tweaks  
to their subscriptions preferences. Lon Peterson, Director Of  
Communications, Engagement And Government Affairs will go over the  
test and what we learned from it.

5.2 DRAFT TOWN HALL FRAMEWORK  
Lon Peterson, Director Of Communications, Engagement And Government  
Affairs will provide an overview of the townhall framework developed.

5.3 WILDFIRE READY JOINT BOOTH  
CAB Members are invited to partner the City of Santa Rosa  
Communications, Engagement and Government Affairs Department for the  
2023 Wildfire Ready Resource Fair on Saturday, August 19, from 10 a.m.  
to 2 p.m. at Finley Community Center, 2060 West College Avenue  
Santa Rosa, CA 95401. This will be an opportunity for CAB members and  
CEGA team to engage with the community and hear from the experts  
about best practices and proactive measures to effectively protect the  
community from wildfire threats.  
5.4 2023 Q2 COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT APPLICATION SELECTION  
REPORT - COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM  
2023 Q2 APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING  
BACKGROUND: On April 1, 2023, the Community Advisory Board (CAB)  
released the 2023 Community Improvement Grant. Application for Quarter  
2 to the public. The application closed on June 30, 2023. The CAB  
received four applications eligible for funding, totaling $10,000. The  
projects are as follows:  
AAPIC Community Gathering & AGM  
Sequoia Gardens Community Garden  
Bags of Love Program  
Minor Beats Open Mic  
RECOMMENDATION: The Communications, Engagement, and  
Government Affairs Department recommends the CAB discuss the four  
project applications for this grant period.  
6. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS  
This schedule is tentative and subject to change pending final publication and  
posting of the Meeting Agenda. This time is reserved for discussion whether  
to place matters on a future agenda for further discussion.
