2.1 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE  
The role of the Waterways Advisory Committee is to review development  
projects, both public and private, that are located adjacent to creeks and  
waterways for consistency with the goals, policies and regulations for  
creekside development identified in the Santa Rosa General Plan, Zoning  
Code, Design Guidelines and Citywide Creek Master Plan. While the  
Committee does not take formal action on projects, it does provide  
advisory comments to the decision-making body. All development projects  
located adjacent to a creek or waterway are required to be reviewed by  
the WAC prior to proceeding through the entitlement process.  
3. SCHEDULED ITEMS  
3.1  
WALKING TOUR OF COLGAN CREEK RESTORATION PHASE 2  
BACKGROUND: We will meet at Colgan Creek near 3201 Boron  
Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, at 9 a.m. We will walk upstream along  
the paved path to view the Phase 2 area, completed in 2022. Then, we  
will walk downstream to view the Phase 3 area planned for 2025. This  
will be a 1.5 hour to 2-hour field trip on a flat, paved trail and Sonoma  
Water’s gravel maintenance road. Please wear comfortable walking  
shoes. This item is provided for information only. No action is being  
taken on this item.
