Principal duties of the Board include undertaking and updating historic  
inventories or surveys, recommending designation of Landmarks and  
Preservation Districts, reviewing proposed alterations to historic buildings,  
and promoting public awareness of preservation issues. If you are in a

REPORT - HOUSE SANTA ROSA  
BACKGROUND: The House Santa Rosa project is a grant-funded  
initiative to facilitate the production of housing in the City of Santa  
Rosa. The purpose the Report is for the Board to provide feedback to  
the House Santa Rosa team and interested citizens as to the work that  
has been performed so far, and identify areas for improvement.

THE CULTURAL HERITAGE BOARD WILL BRAINSTORM IDEAS TO  
ADDRESS WORK BEING DONE WITHIN PRESERVATION  
DISTRICTS WITHOUT BENEFIT OF PERMITS.  
BACKGROUND: At the Cultural Heritage Board (CHB) meeting held on  
June 1, 2022, a motion was made and seconded to add a discussion  
regarding changes to properties and structures within Santa Rosa’s  
preservation districts without benefit of permits.  
At the meeting on December 7, 2022, the CHB voted to add the  
discussion onto a future agenda.  
The purpose of this agenda item is to facilitate a discussion between  
CHB members regarding working being done without benefit of permits  
within preservation districts.

within 10 calendar days of the action. The time limit will extend to the following business day where the last day falls on a day
