3. PUBLIC COMMENTS  
This is the time when any person may address matters not listed on this  
agenda, but which are within the subject matter of the jurisdiction. The public  
may comment on agenda items when the item is called. Each speaker is  
allowed three minutes.  
Live Public Comment: Members of the public can provide comment on an  
agenda item in-person from the Chamber Building, First Floor Large  
Conference room, at the time an agenda item is discussed during the Climate  
Action Subcommittee Meeting.  
Advance E-mail Public Comment: To submit an e-mailed public comment to  
the Climate Action Subcommittee, please send to: mmontoya@srcity.org by  
5:00 p.m., the Tuesday prior to the meeting. Identify in the subject line of your  
e-mail the agenda item number(s) on which you wish to comment, provide  
your name in the body of the e-mail and your comment. Comments received  
by the deadline will be e-mailed to all Subcommittee Members, will be posted  
to the agenda documents on-line, and be made part of the archive packet.

This time is reserved for City staff to provide a briefing on issues of interest.  
No action will be taken on these matters except to possibly place a particular  
item on a future agenda for consideration.  
5. NEW BUSINESS  
5.1  
SANTA ROSA ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN UPDATE  
The Santa Rosa Transportation and Public Works Department will  
provide an overview of the update to the 2018 Bicycle and Pedestrian  
Master Plan, which is being renamed the Active Transportation Plan  
(Plan). The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board will be the guiding  
advisory body for the Plan. It is anticipated that the Plan will be  
considered by the City Council in the Spring of 2025. The  
Subcommittee may discuss this item and give direction to staff.

ZERO WASTE PROGRAM UPDATE  
City of Santa Rosa and Recology Sonoma Marin staff will provide an  
update to the Climate Action Subcommittee on the implementation and  
progress toward meeting the City of Santa Rosa’s Zero Waste Master  
Plan goals. The discussion will cover the 5 strategies outlined in the  
City’s Zero Waste Master Plan and progress thus far. The  
Subcommittee may discuss this item and give direction to staff.
