This is the time when any person may address matters not listed on this  
agenda, but which are within the subject matter of the jurisdiction. The public  
may comment on agenda items when the item is called. Each speaker is  
allowed three minutes.  
3. COMMITTEE BUSINESS  
3.1 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE  
The role of the Waterways Advisory Committee is to review development  
projects, both public and private, that are located adjacent to creeks and  
waterways for consistency with the goals, policies and regulations for  
creekside development identified in the Santa Rosa General Plan, Zoning  
Code, Design Guidelines and Citywide Creek Master Plan. While the  
Committee does not take formal action on projects, it does provide  
advisory comments to the decision-making body. All development projects  
located adjacent to a creek or waterway are required to be reviewed by  
the WAC prior to proceeding through the entitlement process.

HYATT REGENCY SONOMA WINE COUNTRY FENCE AND  
LIGHTING - 170 RAILROAD ST - PROJECT NUMBER DR21-067  
BACKGROUND:Construct a new 8' metal black picket fence on the  
south side of the property to offer security and protection from  
vandalism. Install low-voltage landscape lighting in trees and on fence  
posts to mitigate vandalism and provide more visibility.
