The meeting was called to order by Chair Kiefer at 3:33PM

5th Street Parking Garage Public Art Project  
Staff will present the recommended artist identified by the project selection panel.  
The presentation will include background and information on project development,  
goals, timeline, budget, selection process, selection criteria and community  
engagement. The selection panel is recommending the artist along with specific  
feedback about the design.  
Recommended Action: Approve recommended artist  
A motion was made by Committee Member Nathanson, seconded by Vice  
Chair Jones-Carter, that this Art in Public Places item be tabled pending the  
receipt of additional information. The item will be continued to a special  
meeting with a date to be determined. The motion carried by the following  
vote:

A motion was made by Vice Chair Melanie Jones-Carter that Youth  
representation on the Art in Public Places Committee be agendized at a  
future meeting, Member Nathanson seconded the motion. The motion was  
passed unanimously.  
A motion was made by Member Nathanson that the Fire commemoration/  
memorial project be agendized at a future meeting, Member Baumgartner  
seconded the motion. The motion was passed unanimously.  
8. ADJOURNMENT  
The meeting was adjourned by Chair Kiefer at 5:36 PM. The next  
meeting of the Art in Public Places Committee will be November 1,  
2021.
