POLICE CHIEF UPDATE  
Chief of Police or designee will provide a brief update on current topics.  
Chair and Committee members asked questions of the Chief.

DISCUSSION OF NEW SIDESHOW ORDINANCE  
5.2  
Discussion regarding the Police Department’s effort to stop illegal  
sideshows from occurring throughout our city. We will be seeking input  
on the next steps to deter sideshows which include a city ordinance  
prohibiting spectators at sideshow events and county-wide enforcement  
protocol.

Chair Fleming introduced the Chief and item. Lt. Kucker presented  
the Police Department's strategies on preventing sideshows.  
The Committee members asked questions about the strategies.  
Chief Cregan answered questions and will keep the Subcommittee  
members updated.  
PUBLIC COMMENT  
Art Deicke - appreciates the coordination that the Police Department  
is doing to prevent sideshows. Can the implementation date of the  
bill be moved forward? Feels like the participants of sideshows are  
from out of town. Would like that to be addressed. Chief Cregan  
responded.  
5.3  
K9 UPDATE  
Introduction of the newest K9 to our team and discussion on the new  
applications for the K9 which will be focused on locating firearms and  
our overall department emphasis on violence reduction.

Officer Gonzalez introduced Ghost, his new K9 partner; they are  
currently in training.
