2. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Mayor Chris Rogers made public comment congratulating the Community Advisory
Board Members for their first hybrid meeting and to thank the board for their efforts
to engage in the community.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
July 27, 2022 Regular Meeting Minutes.
A motion was made by Board Member Harrell, seconded by Board Member
Lange, to approve the July 27, 2022 meeting minutes. The motion passed
by the following vote:

4. CAB ANNOUNCEMENTS
Member Barnett announced to the community to join us at the UFO for the CAB
meeting.
Member Lange announced that the Santa Rosa Police Department is working on
improving of their elicit biased training. The Sonoma County Tourism Board is
working on launching their community initiatives, more details to come. On Oct.
15th the Sonoma County Black Forum will launch two of their ARPA Programs;
Black Therapy Fund and Financial Assistance Program.
Member Steffy announced that the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery has work parties on
the 3rd Saturday of the month. Member Steffy participated in the Public Safety
Subcommittee regarding the City Ordinance on viscous and dangers animals and it
will be going to City Council on Oct. 24th. or Nov. 1st for a full vote to alter the
Ordinance. Lastly that Member Steffy encourages the CAB and the community to
get involved in the elections that will be occurring in about 6 weeks.
Member Harrell announced that Oakmont has been working with the Sonoma
Ecology Center which helps community in fire resilience studies as well as working
with the City Planners on the General Plan and acknowledges their efforts.
Vice Chair Weeks announced that it is the 5 year anniversary of the Tubbs Fire on
Oct. 8th as well as that there will be a Gun Buy Back event on Oct. 22nd. Lastly the
