A motion was made by Board Member Geraldi, seconded by Board Member

5. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA MATTERS  
Alexa Forrester commented on the Hearn Avenue Overcrossing  
Project and wants the City to re-open the striping design process.  
Cris Eggers commented on the Hearn Avenue Overcrossing Project  
and the increasing prices of design and stated the current design is  
not satisfactory to bicyclists and pedestrians.  
Chris Guenther commented on the Hearn Avenue Overcrossing  
Project and the grant from City Thread and asked for an update on  
the hiring process for Active Transportation Planner and for  
Transportation Planner.  
Emily Shartin commented on the Hearn Avenue Overcrossing  
Project and gave congratulations for receiving grant funding.  
Jenny Bard commented on the Hearn Avenue Overcrossing Project,  
the grant from City Thread and asked what is the preferred  
alternative for Santa Rosa Forward, and if the BPAB has been  
involved or provided input and reactions to connectivity issues.  
6. REPORT ITEMS  
6.1  
REPORT - Fourth Street Reconfiguration  
(E Street - Bryden Lane) and  
Montgomery Drive Reconfiguration (Alderbrook Drive - Hahman Drive)  
BACKGROUND: Staff will introduce and seek feedback on final design  
concepts for Fourth Street between E Street and Bryden Lane and  
Montgomery Drive between Alderbrook Drive and Hahman Drive.  
RECOMMENDATION: This item is for Board discussion and input  
before finalizing design concepts.  
PUBLIC COMMENTS  
Alexa Forrester stated this will make a big difference and thanked  
the staff for thinking about the street sweeping.  
Cris Eggers appreciated the crossing at Bryden and Fourth and  
would like more of that. She also inquired about vertical elements.  
Chris Guenther agreed with the other comments and said it is  
important to keep the street clean and asked if alternatives for street  
sweeping could be considered in the future.  
Stephen Maples thanked the staff for the work and commented  
protected bike lanes from Shortt Road to Farmers would be good  
for connectivity.  
David Kittelstrom emailed comments that he endorsed the  
recommendations for re-striping, and is in support of the addition of  
bike lanes on Fourth Street and Montgomery Drive and would like to  
see a solution to get from Bryden to Farmers.  
Evan Wiig emailed comments to support the proposals for new and  
buffered lanes on Fourth Street and Montgomery Drive, and the  
crosswalk on Shortt. He wishes the bike infrastructure on  
Montgomery continued all the way to downtown.  
Victor Delpanno emailed support for the proposals, especially those  
with buffered bike lanes and provided suggestions regarding  
parking configurations.  
Steve Hebenstreit emailed he would like to see expanded, safer  
bikeways and protected bike paths.  
Kevin Hebenstreit emailed his support of haviing more protected  
bikeways and bike paths in Santa Rosa.

6.2  
REPORT - North Dutton Avenue Striping Design Proposals  
BACKGROUND: Staff will introduce and seek feedback on final design  
concepts for North Dutton Avenue between West Third Street and West  
College Avenue.  
RECOMMENDATION: This item is for Board discussion and input on  
the proposed design concepts.  
PUBLIC COMMENTS  
Steve Birdlebough wants to plan ways to clean the streets to make  
biking safer and to get the protected bike lanes installed.  
Cris Eggers commented support to continue the designs to improve  
current conditions and asked that the smaller bike lanes be  
addressed.  
David Kittelstrom emailed support of bike lanes on North Dutton  
Avenue.  
Evan Wiig emailed support of the striping proposals on North Dutton  
Avenue.  
Victor Delpanno emailed support of the striping proposals on North  
Dutton Avenue.  
This item was received and filed.  
7. CHAIR/BOARD MEMBERS' ANNOUNCEMENTS  
Vice Chair Ridlington gave an update on the Vision Zero Ad Hoc  
Committee. Discussion of the possibility of progress metrics to add  
to some actions and the implementation plan were agreed upon and  
will be written up for an agenda item at next month's Board meeting.  
8. STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS  
- As result of the election, there are two new Councilmembers.  
- There are four Board Member terms that are expiring and all were  
encouraged to get their applications in if they are interested in  
serving again.  
- A brief update on the recruitments for Active Transportation  
Planner and Transportation Planner was provided.  
- Nancy Adams expressed her appreciation in serving as the staff  
liaison to the Board  
9. ADJOURNMENT OF REGULAR MEETING  
Chair Badenfort adjourned the virtual meeting at 6:02 p.m.
