REPORT - ROSELAND AREA ANNEXATION COSTS AND REVENUES ESTIMATE - PUBLIC REVIEW DRAFT
BACKGROUND: Part of the work plan to analyze annexation of the unincorporated Roseland area adopted by the City Council in April 2014 was to assess the costs to provide City services as compared to potential revenues. City departments have analyzed and estimated the cost to provide services and infrastructure on par with the rest of the City, and the City’s fiscal consultant has developed revenue estimates. The purpose of this report item is to present draft costs and revenues estimates and begin public review.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the City Manager’s Office that the Council, by motion: 1) accept the public review draft report regarding Roseland area annexation costs and revenues; 2) refer it out for a 90 day public review and comment period; 3) direct staff to meet with Sonoma County staff; 4) schedule a Joint City/County Roseland Annexation Committee meeting; and 5) return to the Co...
