REPORT - ADOPTION OF LOCAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
BACKGROUND: The Draft Local Hazard Mitigation Plan has been updated consistent with the requirements of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide a set of strategies to reduce vulnerability to disaster through education and outreach programs, the development of partnerships, and the implementation of actions to reduce the impacts from a disaster.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Planning and Economic Development and Fire Departments that the Council, by resolution, adopt the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan.
