Title: RESOLUTION - SUPPORT FOR ASSEMBLY BILL 436 (ALVAREZ) RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Communications & Intergovernmental Relations Office that the Council, by resolution, support Assembly Bill 436 (Alvarez), which repeals the authority of local authorities to adopt rules and regulations by ordinance or resolution regulating cruising and repeals the prohibition on operating a passenger vehicle, or commercial vehicle under 6,000 pounds, that has been lowered below a certain point.
