REPORT - ROSELAND AREA PROJECTS - COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY
BACKGROUND: On October 29, 2014 the Assistant City Manager signed a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Pacific Municipal Consultants (PMC) for community engagement related to the Roseland Area Annexation project, and on December 2, 2014 the City Council authorized the Mayor to sign a PSA with PMC for preparation of the Roseland Area/Sebastopol Road Specific Plan and Environmental Impact Report. Since that time City staff and PMC have developed a Community Engagement Strategy for both the Annexation and Specific Plan projects, the purpose of which is to ensure that effective, diverse communication occurs through a community-wide outreach and engagement program.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Community Development Department that Council, by motion, accept the Community Engagement Strategy for the Roseland Area/Sebastopol Road Specific Plan and Roseland Area Annexation projects.
