REPORT - RECOMMENDATION TO AUTHORIZE ISSUANCE OF WASTEWATER REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 2026A AND APPROVE RELATED DOCUMENTS AND ACTIONS
BACKGROUND: Santa Rosa Water proposes to upgrade the electrical infrastructure at the Laguna Wastewater Treatment Plant and recommends the issuance of wastewater revenue bonds to fund the construction phase of the project. Additionally, Santa Rosa Water proposes to utilize the issuance to refinance the outstanding balances due on the previously issued series 2014A and 2016A wastewater revenue bonds, and partially defease the series 2002B wastewater revenue bonds. Staff has determined that this funding strategy will generate savings for the benefit of Santa Rosa Water ratepayers and our regional partner agencies.
RECOMMENDATION: Santa Rosa Water and the Finance Department recommend that the Board of Public Utilities, by resolution, recommend that the City Council authorize the issuance of Wastewater Revenue Bonds, Series 2026A, to finance wastewater-system ...
