MOTION - COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANTS DETERMINATION - VINCE HARPER’S SOUTH PARK DAY & NIGHT FESTIVAL
BACKGROUND: The Community Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and approves the 2026 Community Improvement Grant Applications. The Board shall award grants to the applicants whose projects best meet the criteria. There are two grants that have been submitted for the July-Aug 2026 period:
EFZM Engage is requesting $2,500 to support the 2026 Harper's South Park Day & Night Festival, a free community event that connects families with essential health, wellness, and community resources. The festival provides free food, entertainment, a family movie, prizes, vaccinations, reading glasses, and resources. Building on the success of last year's event, which offered on-site vaccinations and vision services, EFZM Engage plans to continue these services and expand access by hopefully adding dental care.
