Over 1,500 permits were processed in 2018, resulting in approximately 16,000 inspections. Additionally, the Department continues to see a high volume of permit activity outside of the fire damaged areas. City staff time has been partially redirected from current development projects to support the rebuild efforts, resulting in an increased need for professional services to augment staffing support for the review and processing of new housing and commercial projects.
