Ultraviolet Light (UV) is the primary disinfection process for the Laguna Treatment Plant (LTP). In January 2016, the City initiated design for replacing the existing UV system. The City is nearing completion of the design and preparing steps towards the construction phase of the project. The City needs to amend the existing design project work order to provide funds to the design consultant for engineering services during construction. This need was anticipated at the beginning of the project and reported to the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) in August 2019. Additionally, the City needs professional construction management and inspection services for the project. The City released a Request for Proposals and received three (3) proposals.
