PUBLIC HEARING - SPINSTER INN ZONING MAP AMENDMENT, 413 SOUTH A STREET, ASSESSOR’S PARCEL NO. 010-221-018 - FILE NO. MNP14-018
BACKGROUND: This application seeks to rezone one 4,200 square foot parcel from R-2 (Medium Density Multi-Family Residential) to CG (General Commercial) to be consistent with General Plan Designation and to accommodate a proposed hotel and retail use. The proposed development also requires a Minor Conditional Use Permit and Minor Design Review, which were approved by the Zoning Administrator following a public hearing on August 3, 2015.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Community Development Department that the Council introduce an ordinance to reclassify one (1) parcel located at 413 South A Street (APN: 010-221-018) from R-2 (Medium Density Multi-Family Residential) to CG (General Commercial), consistent with the policies in the General Plan and Downtown Station Area Specific Plan.
