REPORT - RESILIENT CITY DEVELOPMENT MEASURES ORDINANCE EXTENSIONS
BACKGROUND: The Resilient City (-RC) Combining District was created on October 24, 2017, through an Urgency Ordinance. The Resilient City Development Measures were adopted as an Ordinance on May 22, 2018. This Zoning Code Text Amendment would amend the expiration date of both ordinances from December 31, 2023 to December 31, 2024. A one-year extension is requested to allow staff time to complete a comprehensive update and recommendations to Council for codification of the Resilient City Development Measures and -RC Combining District into appropriate sections of the Zoning Code, with no sunset date.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by the Planning and Economic Development Department that the Council introduce an ordinance amending Title 20 of the Santa Rosa City Code to extend the expiration date of Zoning Code Chapter 20-16, Resilient City Development Measures, and Zoning Code Section 20-28.100, Resilient City (-RC) ...
